I would say the hardest season for me to miss is Autumn. The
change in the weather, the change in the trees, the crispness of
apples, and the sight of pumpkins on stoops. Autumn is definitely
my favorite season. Here, as we continue to live in the season of
eternal Summer (either wet or dry) , I find myself missing the changes
that come with the seasons, however small. In Houston, Fall
certainly is not the all-out show that it is in Western North Carolina.
People flock from all over the US just to be in WNC when the
leaves change. However, there is still some kind of change in
weather and leaves and quantity of pumkins available at the supermarket.
We shall be there soon enough. Let's hope that Autumn holds out for us.
