So one of the things I love about being back is knitting. It is a
favorite hobby of mine, along with quilting. In Santa Lucia,
there was no access to yarn. Nor did I bring down any needles. So
for two years, there was an almost complete absence of knitting in my
life. Upon returning, I got to work. A few skeins of yarn
later, my family is outiftted for winter weather (scarves, hats,
mittens, baby sleep sack). I was able to get a lot of knitting
done pre-baby. I have knit up one scarf in the past five weeks on
some beautiful yarn I got as a Christmas present. However, I am
more or less on hold until a regular nap schedule is established.
I have lots of project ideas in my head and a basket full of yarn
to use.
Here are more pictures of our family.

Some pictures of our happy boy taken by Tía Melissa when she and Tío Matt came to visit for the weekend.

For those who did not know, Luke's abiltiy to nap and sleep was
disrupted for unknown reasons shortly before the baby came. We
are happy to report that things are getting better. Luke seems to be
adjusting well to his baby brother, and enjoying being a family of
four. Also,
he has been loving church and the new friends we have made in town.

Here are some more pics from Christmas and of Gabe and family, in no particular order.

January 3
Gabriel John Morris was born 12/27/08 at 1:04am after a short labor
and delivery. He was 6lbs 14oz and 21 inches long. He is healthy, has ten fingers and ten toes, and is
eating like a champ. He is now a week old.
Luke loves bebé Gabriel, and loves to kiss him and ask about
him. Luke has been entertained by all of his four grandparents
the past week, and is still enjoying his new Christmas presents.
Gabe and I came home from the hospital at 10pm on the 27th to rest at
home. I am feeling good and looking forward to wearing normal
clothes again.
Andy has been working on projects all over the house because we have so much help at home. The house looks great.
