Andy is from Houston, TX. He attended Davidson College where he earned a bachelor's degree in religion and then obtained his M.D. at Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to attend  ing Baylor, he served two years as the Coordinator of Missions and Community Service at Houston Baptist University. He
recently completed his Family Medicine residency in Asheville, NC, where he became familiar with Shoulder to Shoulder, Inc. His
first exposure to international medicine was in 1990 during a mission
trip to Kenya, long before his medical training. Since that time,
he has participated in mission trips to Bolivia ( IMB), Mexico (Time for Christ Mexico Ministries, Houston Baptist University), Kenya and Nicaragua (Living Water International), Sudan and Ghana (World Medical Mission), Haiti (New Missions),
and Honduras. Andy enjoys singing in the shower, water-skiing
anywhere, and tinkering with things that are slightly broken.  Laura is also from Houston, TX. She attended Rice University and graduated with a BA in Spanish and Psychology. She completed her Master of Social Work at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2006. Laura enjoys knitting in all four seasons, quilting, reading, hiking, and walking with friends. 
Luke was born in Houston, TX and lived there a short seven weeks before moving to Santa Lucia, Honduras. He
enjoys cars, trains, planes, and anything with wheels. He currently speaks English and Spanish
and continues to have an affinity for anything sweet.  As a family, we are enjoying our new home, yard, church, and friends after our move back to the US from Santa Lucia, Honduras. |
